David (Dong-seon) Lee is a visual artist who works in watercolor and ink. He is inspired by influences such as traditional East Asian ink brush painting, architectural drawings, illustrations, and manga. Through his work, he seeks to depict scenarios about how life can go on in a meaningful way, amidst an uncertain era in which consumerism is encountering physical/environmental limits and is arguably fading away. Where glimpses of alternatives paths begin to emerge and help spark people’s imagination and feel a sense of possibility and reverence toward the world and environments we inhabit.
Based in New York City, David also works as an environmental planner and has a background in architecture and urban planning/design. His artwork was featured at the “Dead of Winter – Farmer’s Bash”, a public event in Newark, NJ and “Alternative Possibilities – Newark’s Gardens” EcoArt Salon – an online exhibition co-sponsored by Rutgers University – Newark. David lives and works in New York City.
